What Next?

Some might say that my opening post to this blog is a little cryptic. Just One Word….

God.

Well, the purpose of blossomsred is quite simple. God is the only truly important Word in my life, and I would very much like to share with you all the reasons for that. And of course, I would very, VERY much like you all to come to that same conclusion, because God is the only truly important Word in YOUR life as well.

Whether you want it to or not, your life (and death) revolves around your personal relationship with that Word and what it represents. You may very well have a strong distaste for religion of any sort, and perhaps you have automatically taken that distaste for a HUMAN institution and transposed it onto the One whom religion is supposed to represent. Understandable, but misguided. All religious systems are imperfect, because they are created and organized by imperfect humans. Understand that! Although I call myself Christian, I am not here to tell you that Christianity is the only perfect religion. There is no such thing.

What I AM here to tell you is that there IS ONLY ONE PERFECT GOD. And God wants an individual, personal relationship with EVERYONE. True Christianity has nothing to do with religion at all. It is a relationship.

As this blog progresses many different things will be discussed. I believe in a God who created the universe and everything in it – including time. I believe in a God who sees everything, knows everything, and is ultimately in control of everything.

So, there are many questions that have to be answered. If you read this and have something you’d like to ask, please leave a comment and I will try and answer. For most people, one of the biggest questions that springs to mind when the concept of an all powerful, all knowing God comes up is:

Why is life so painful?

Murder…
Disease…
Rape…
War…
Greed…
etc, etc, etc…

Surely there cannot be a loving, caring, perfect God?

WHY?
